Andy Sullivan is reinvigorated and showing how well he can play when he’s fully engaged.

The 30-year-old Englishman admitted he got lackadaisical after qualifying for the 2016 Ryder Cup team. Now, he’s hoping it’s not too late to make a push for Paris this fall.

“It was just a bit of complacency,” Sullivan said in a story by Golfweek’s Alistair Tait. “I got to the Ryder Cup pretty early and achieved everything in really quick time, and you just don’t realise how hard you have to work to maintain these things.”

The fun-loving Englishman is taking nothing for granted now, and the results are following.

He’s racked up three top-20 finishes in a row coming into this week. His best finish was a T6 in Dubai where he was in contention heading into the final round.

Sullivan’s one of the betting favorites this week thanks to his three career European Tour wins and some nice finishes at the Qatar Masters.

Sullivan’s 3-for-4 in cuts made with all three coming inside the top 30 (best was T9 in 2013).
