Alexander Bjork continues to build off of his successful 2017 rookie season. The 27-year-old Swede racked up three top-10s en route to finishing 43rd in the final Race to Dubai standings.

Now as a sophomore, Bjork posted a career best runner-up finish at the UBS Hong Kong Open in December (as part of the 2017-18 season). He also tied for sixth at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and tied for 12th last week in Oman.

In his debut at the 2017 Qatar Masters, Bjork played well enough to contend for three rounds, but a Saturday 75 left him eight shots adrift in a tie for 28th

Bjork was 10th on the European Tour last season in scrambling and 29th in putting.

Career win No. 1 looks imminent. Against a relatively weak field like this week’s, now could be the time Bjork breaks through.
