HONG KONG – NOVEMBER 25: Julian Suri of USA pictured during round three of the UBS Hong Kong Open at The Hong Kong Golf Club on November 25, 2017 in Hong Kong, Hong Kong. (Photo by Arep Kulal/Getty Images) /

American Julian Suri dipped his toes in the PGA Tour waters for a three-week stretch. He may feel more at home back on the European Tour.

Sponsors exemptions into the Farmers Insurance Open, Waste Management Phoenix Open and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am yielded results of T63-MC-T68.

When you dive deeper, you’ll see Suri played nicely in the first two rounds (66-67) at Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula before blowing up at Pebble Beach. Earlier at the Waste Management, Suri opened with a 68 before crashing back down.

Playing competitively at courses for the first time can’t be easy, especially when you’re trying to capitalize on limited opportunities to play on the PGA Tour.

If he can continue to play well on the European Tour, the rest could fall into place for the 26-year-old former Duke University Blue Devil.

Prior to his PGA Tour stint, Suri racked up four top-10s in his last five European Tour starts which included a T2 finish at the UBS Hong Kong Open.

Suri made the jump from winning on the Challenge Tour in 2017 to winning on the Euro Tour 13 weeks later at the Made In Denmark.

With 2017 ranks inside the top 50 in scrambling, putts per GIR and driving distance, Suri’s game is adaptable to play well this week in his Qatar debut.
