Thorbjorn Olesen has about as good of a career resume as any in the field this week. The 28-year-old Dane is a four-time European Tour winner and would love to add the Qatar Masters’ clam trophy to his mantle.

This event has been a mainstay on Olesen’s schedule since 2011. He’s played well here, with a T22 in 2013, T3 in 2014 and T2 in 2016. That’s an improving trend he’d love to continue this week.

In his two top-fives, Olesen contended until the end and missed out on playoffs by one and two shots, respectively.

Normally known for his putting where he was fifth in putts per GIR in 2017, Olesen has found his ball striking in Oman. He was second in the field in GIR in ’16 and 10th in ’14.

Olesen comes into this week with a week off on the heels of advancing to the round of 16 match play at the ISPS Handa Super 6 Perth.
