This will be Englishman Matt Fitzpatrick’s first Valspar Championship appearance. It likely won’t be his last.

Fitzpatrick appeared on the No Laying Up podcast in January and professed his love for the RBC Heritage event.

Innisbrook’s green complexes are larger than Harbor Town’s, but both are courses are tree-lined tracks that require you to think your way around the course.

Fitzpatrick was 24th in driving accuracy and 34th in greens in regulation on the European Tour in 2017.

The 23-year-old closed 2017 with 11 top-20s on the European Tour, including a win. He finished only behind Tommy Fleetwood and Ross Fisher for a T3 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship in January.

Fitzpatrick’s last start was a T30 at the WGC-Mexico Championship which featured two rounds in the 60s.
