Innisbrook is a course that demands a well-rounded game to succeed. That plays into Kuchar’s hands.

“I think Innisbrook is one of my favorite courses we play throughout the year,” Kuchar said in 2017. “It requires kind of all facets of the game to be working. It’s such a unique course for Florida. They have got some great undulations and some nice elevation changes.”

Kuchar’s resume at the Valspar Championship is a microcosm of the Kuchar stereotype: Lots of made cuts and high finishes, but no wins.

In 10 trips to Palm Harbor, Kuchar’s got seven top-25s. His best effort was a T9 in 2002. Last year, Kuchar posted three sub-par rounds to tie for 22nd.

Kuchar is 5-for-5 in worldwide cuts made in 2018 including a T5 at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

His short game hasn’t been as sharp as usual, but if Kuchar can get that settled, he’s crafty enough to tame Innisbrook this week.
