Hero Indian Open Power Rankings: Ten who could be heroes on the European Tour
The Hero Indian Open is headlined by a pair of countrymen set to compete for the national championship at DLF Golf and Country Club.
The European Tour makes its one and only stop in India this week for the Hero Indian Open.
Many of the elite Europeans are already in the United States practicing or competing on the PGA Tour in prep for next month’s Masters, so the field this week in New Delhi isn’t overwhelming.

Shubhankar Sharma, already a two-time European Tour winner and a near World Golf Championship winner at age 21, two-time winner and Presidents Cup participant Anirban Lahiri, and multiple champ SSP Chawrasia. headline the field.
This week’s venue, DLF Golf and Country Club, is a Gary Player design that opened in 2015 and is in its second year hosting the tournament. DLF measures at 7,379-yard for a par-72 and is known for its big, undulating greens. They expect to be rolling at around 11.5 on the Stimpmeter.
DLF is a relatively open course but the fairways are lined with trouble, including man-made quarries on holes 16 and 17.
The winning score was 10-under-par in the rainy 2017 debut, but second place only reached three-under.
The Indian Open is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour.
