BARSEBACKSHAMN, SWEDEN – JUNE 04: Chris Wood of England reacts as he leaves the 18th green during day four of the Nordea Masters at Barseback Golf /

Chris Wood is beginning to remind us why he was a European Ryder Cup team member in 2016. After some injury woes and admitted struggles in his game in 2017, the 31-year-old Englishman is back on the horse.

Wood pushed Joost Luiten for the title at the Oman Open a few weeks ago en route to finishing alone in second. His strong play in the desert wasn’t a mirage as he followed with a T13 the next week at the Qatar Masters.

Equipped with a week off, Wood is gaining steam heading into his first Indian Open appearance.

If he can get the ball in play, a solid putter like Wood could follow Chawrasia’s example and win this event on the greens.
