Could the three-initialed golfer win three times at the Hero Indian Open?

It seems unlikely, but so did his first two tournament titles, especially last year’s seven-stroke blowout.

In 2016, Chawrasia was ranked No. 243 in the world and missed his last three cuts. In 2017, he was No. 262 and missed three of his last four cuts.

This year, he’s right back in his wheelhouse at No. 250. Maybe we shouldn’t worry about the fact that he’s made just two of five cuts in 2018 and hasn’t finished inside the top 50?

It seems irrational, but something about playing in front of his home fans brings out his best. Prior to his two wins, Chawrasia was four times a runner up at the Indian Open.

He was first last year in putts per round and hit over 76.8 percent of his fairways to plod his way to a low score.
