Arnold Palmer Invitational Power Rankings: Top ten at Bay Hill
Minor history was made for Henrik Stenson last year at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He finally missed a cut.
In nine total starts since his tournament debut in 2007, Stenson’s racked up seven top-25s. Five are top-10s and one a runner-up in 2015.
“It suits my game, position off the tee. Got to hit it in the fairway and play some good iron shots and when I’m playing well I seem to do that,” Stenson said in 2016. “So, that kind sets up a lot of birdie chances and my putter has been working really nicely these couple of days and some of the previous years as well apparently.
“So, it’s a good golf course for me and it’s a home week as well. It’s nice to sleeping at home and staying at home.”
Stenson missed the cut last week at the Valspar Championship in his 2018 debut in the US.
He played well on the European Tour with two top-10s earlier this year. Once he gets his PGA Tour sea legs on a course he enjoys this week, he should be off and running again.
