Houston Open Power Rankings: Top ten players at Golf Club of Houston
Spieth went 2-1 at last week’s WGC-Match Play in his college town of Austin. He’s bound to have big support again in Houston this week. He’d love to deliver his home state fans a win as he could use some momentum heading into Augusta.
Spieth’s racked up some decent paychecks in 2018 but has yet to get the adrenaline pumping late on a Sunday this year. Driving back down Magnolia Lane is sure to inject him with some confidence no matter how he fares this week, but posting some low scores ahead of time won’t hurt.
The Houston Open’s been a mixed bag for Spieth. He has two missed cuts in five starts but made a playoff in 2015 and was T13 the year after.
