The Masters Tournament is at its halfway point, and we’re starting to get a much clearer view of the real contenders. Here are the top five storylines you need to watch this weekend.

The Masters Tournament never fails to live up to the hype, and so far, this week is no exception. Through the first two rounds at Augusta National, we’ve seen player making heroic charges up the leaderboard. We’ve also seen several players, including our defending champion Sergio Garcia, have struggled to defeat the legendary course.

Of course, we’re also only halfway through, which means there’s plenty of golf left to be played. With 53 players left from the original field of 87, the drama we’ve already seen play out is nothing compared to what’s to come.

That’s where we pick up this Saturday afternoon. The leaders are set to tee off over the next several hours, and conditions aren’t looking particularly friendly. A handful of players already on the course are in red numbers, but many are battling just to stay at even par. With Patrick Reed still two shots clear of the field, he won’t have much room for error today.

Here, we’ll take a look at the top five storylines for this weekend at the Masters. They say that the tournament really doesn’t begin until the second nine on Sunday, but there’s plenty of golf left before then. And that means plenty of time for you to put off whatever’s on your “to do” list.

Let’s start by taking a look at the one thing Augusta National can’t control.
