We’ve got another one from the RBC army.
Kuchar’s come to this event every year since 2007 and doesn’t look to stop anytime soon, sponsorship obligations or not.
Since missing the cut in 2003, Kuchar’s made the weekend 13 straight times.
The 2014 RBC Heritage champion, courtesy of a hole out from the sand on No. 18, owns 13 made cuts in a row and four straight finishes of T11 or better. In 14 starts, Kuchar’s racked up eight top-25s.
It’s been stereotypical Kuch in 2018. He’s been solid going 8-for-8 in cuts made and three top-10s, though all without a serious trophy chase. Last week was a T28 at the Masters.
A competitor like Kuchar has got to be eager to end his win drought that dates to 2015. If he can shore up his short game (11th in SG approach-the-green in 2016-17, 140th in 2017-18), this course sets up well for another high finish for Kuchar.
