HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC – APRIL 14: Paul Casey of England tees off on the fifth hole during the first round of the 2016 RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links on April 14, 2016 in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. (Photo by Jared C. Tilton/Getty Images) /

Paul Casey owns a pair of top-25s at the RBC Heritage. Granted, those came in 2009 and 2010, but it doesn’t much matter what his history is here.

The Englishman’s continued his good run of form with a T15 at the Masters. That counts for three straight top-25s at stroke play events, including his win at the Valspar Championship. Prior to a T49 at the Genesis Open in February, Casey racked up six straight top-20s.

Casey’s all but played his way onto the European Ryder Cup team and has the monkey off his back from his first Tour win since 2009.

This course sets up well for Casey who’s 40th on Tour in driving accuracy without sacrificing much in length (305.8 yards, 24th).

His proximity numbers are solid enough, and he’s 17th in greens in regulation.

Casey’s putter is the chink in his armor, particularly from long range. With these postage stamp greens and a short game ranked 11th on Tour in strokes gained, I see him netting some makeable birdie attempts or tap-in pars all week.
