GIRONA, SPAIN – NOVEMBER 16: Eddie Pepperell of England on action during the fifth round of the European Tour qualifying school final stage at PGA Catalunya Resort on November 16, 2016 in Girona, Spain. (Photo by Jan Kruger/Getty Images) /

Eddie Pepperell won his first European Tour event in his last start at the Qatar Masters in late February. Now rested and without the worry of retaining his card, the Englishman could be on to bigger and better things.

Pepperell’s been strong around the greens. He’s 25th in putts per GIR and 48th in scrambling.

He’s one of the Tour’s shorter hitters, though that shouldn’t be a large problem if his irons are on. Pepperell is 11th in strokes gained approaching-the-green.

Pepperell’s made all four cuts at the Open de España, including a T8 in 2013. He’s yet to play Centro Nacional competitively.
