Trophee Hassan II Power Rankings: Top ten on the European Tour
This will be George Coetzee’s first appearance at Royal Dar Es Salam. Really, it doesn’t seem to matter where he plays these days.
The South African has piled up plenty of high finishes in 2018 highlighted by his fourth career European Tour win at the Tshwane Open in March.
After taking six weeks off, Coetzee picked up right where he left off by placing fourth in Spain thanks to a sparkling Sunday 63. He also owns a T8 at the Qatar Masters.
The 31-year-old is seventh on the European Tour in stroke average thanks in large part to solid ball striking.
Coetzee is 26th in strokes gained tee-to-green and eighth in SG approach-the-green. His ability to knock it close will be useful this week, especially if the putter (90th SG putting) cooperates.
