MUSCAT, OMAN – FEBRUARY 18: Joost Luiten of the Netherlands celebrates his victory on the 18th green during the final round of the NBO Oman Open at Al Mouj Golf on February 18, 2018 in Muscat, Oman. (Photo by Andrew Redington/Getty Images) /

Joost Luiten’s got a pair of top-15s at the Red Course separated by seven years.

The Dutchman finished T14 in 2010 and T13 in 2017.

The veteran Luiten’s been solid in limited action in 2018, making the weekend in five of six tries with a two-shot win at the Oman Open the highlight.

Luiten posted T9 in his last start a month ago at the Indian Open and also has a T11 at the Maybank Championship.

Though not a bomber, Luiten can hit it past 300 when he needs to and is very accurate (17th on the European Tour). His irons have been crisp this year, too. He’s 14th in strokes gained tee-to-green and 19th in SG approach.

His short game is steady and he showed what he’s capable of doing on the greens when he’s clicking. Despite sitting at 113th in strokes gained putting, he led the field in putts per GIR and putts per round in Oman.
