Trophee Hassan II Power Rankings: Top ten on the European Tour
Could Alexander Levy make it three in a row at the Trophee Hassan II? No, unfortunately for Levy and French golf fans, a third straight win isn’t on the line.
Instead, Levy’s tied for 34th two years in a row with his 72-hole scores just two strokes apart.
Based on the way he’s been playing, Levy should dream bigger this year.
The 27-year-old owns top-10s in three of last five starts and hasn’t missed a cut since September. His top results in 2018 show a solo seventh-place finish in Abu Dhabi, fourth in Dubai and a T4 in Oman.
Levy’s sixth on the European Tour in stroke average at an impressive 68.69. He’s third in greens in regulations, hitting nearly four out of five.
Levy’s also ninth in scrambling and 30th in strokes gained putting.
Despite his strong play, he remains just 21st in the European Ryder Cup standings.
If he wants to play in his home country without sweating out the possibility of earning a captain’s pick, Levy needs to pick up a win or two. Against a middling field this week, this seems like the place to start.
