Fantasy Golf: Wells Fargo Championship DraftKings Picks
Fantasy golf players have a wealth of big-name players to choose from at the Wells Fargo Championship. Who should you put on your DraftKings roster this week?
After a short break, we’re back with your DraftKings fantasy golf picks for the Wells Fargo Championship. And what a tournament it’s shaping up to be. Featuring one of the strongest non-major fields of the year, this week’s fantasy play could present a unique set of challenges. Of course, that’s where we come in.
Quail Hollow is back in the regular PGA TOUR rotation for the first time since 2016. Last year, of course, the Charlotte icon played host to the PGA Championship. While we definitely will take that into account in this week’s picks, the course should be playing significantly easier. In other words, if a player you like struggled a bit here last summer, take that with a grain of salt. That experience is still valuable, especially with the minor facelifts the course has had.
Several holes were redesigned ahead of last year’s PGA Championship (specifically the first, fourth and fifth), and Nos. 1 and 4 have been shortened a hair since then. As we’ve seen in recent years, driving distance is a help, but on Quail Hollow’s difficult greens, you’re looking for players who can give themselves as many birdie chances as possible. The conversions will be far more limited than most weeks, but that’s the charm of this challenging track.
As usual, one last little piece of advice. This (incomplete) roster is made up of five players who I think provide outstanding value in DraftKings standard leagues. If you’re playing on a different site, salary variations may change the specific players you roster, but the analysis carries into all formats. And, of course, your team is just that – yours. This is meant to be fun, so play your game your way!
With that, let’s jump right in.
