It’s been a rough last few weeks for Sergio, but he’s back in his new home state. Garcia isn’t far removed from a pair of top-10s and a good showing at the WGC-Match Play.

He’s also fourth in strokes gained approaching-the-green, which will serve well to hit the right spots on Trinity Forest’s sloped greens.

A European Tour stalwart won’t be fazed by the links style layout and has all the shots to get around here.

Garcia should be well-rested after taking a couple weeks off prior to the PLAYERS. This will also only be his 10th start in 2018.

There’s not too much to really say here, other than Garcia is the most accomplished in the field and is still in the latter stages of his prime. Against a weak field, he’s about as safe a bet as they come.

Hopefully there aren’t any squirrels to get in his way at Trinity Forest.
