AT&T Byron Nelson Power Rankings: Top 10 picks for Trinity Forest
Marc Leishman’s having a productive 2018 on the heels of a breakout 2017.
The Aussie’s piled up three top-10s against just two missed cuts. Those three high finishes came against strong fields, too: Torrey Pines, the Arnold Palmer and the Masters.
Leishman was 7-under through 54 holes last week before a tough Sunday led to a T63. He rarely plays well at TPC Sawgrass, so I’m not too dissuaded by last week.
Plus, a course like Trinity Forest seems suitable for big Leish.
He’s 27th in strokes gained on approaches and eighth in SG around the greens. That sets up well for him to hit his spots for birdies or chip it close back up Trinity Forest’s abundant upside down bowl-shaped greens.
Leishman was off three weeks prior to the PLAYERS, so he should be well rested for a tournament he’s showed well at before.
