Shane Lowry’s done more than enough to warrant a spot in the top 10 regardless of recent form.

The Irishman’s made piles of case at the BMW PGA in his career. Lowry has made seven cuts in eight tries with four top-six finishes, one being a solo runner-up in 2014.

” I said to my caddie walking off the last green, if we could play here every week, I would be happy enough,” Lowry said in 2017.

Lowry is a good player at tough courses as evidenced by a win at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational at Firestone and getting in contention at the US Open in Oakmont.

Lowry’s been spinning his wheels a bit this season. He’s yet to finish higher than T14 (Houston Open) and has just one top-30 result.

With that said, a span of four top-12s in a row to end 2017 aren’t so far in the rear view.

If you had to peg Lowry for his next win, Wentworth’s on the short list.
