Alex Noren’s cashing big checks on the PGA Tour now, though the Swede won’t forget where he got his start.

The nine-time European Tour winner claimed the best of ’em all at the 2017 BMW PGA. Noren responded from a Friday 75 to match the course record of 62 to shock the field on Sunday.

“I’ve always liked British golf courses,” Noren said in 2017. “It’s fantastic; you’ve got great links, you’ve got great parkland, and I’ve always liked this course.”

Noren has three top-10s in his career at Wentworth.

On the PGA Tour, Noren is on the doorstep of picking up his first win. He lost in a playoff to Jason Day at Torrey Pines and has a couple third-place finishes to boot.

Noren is rested after a week off following a solid T17 at the PLAYERS Championship.

Save for a meager -.056 mark around the green, Noren is solidly in the positive in every strokes gained category.
