Fantasy Golf: DraftKings picks for the Fort Worth Invitational
Fantasy golf players are in for a treat this week, as the Fort Worth Invitational returns to historic Colonial Country Club. Who will lead your fantasy roster to victory this week? We’re taking a look at your top five value picks on DraftKings.
The Fort Worth Invitational lives on in 2018, despite the loss of Dean & Deluca as the title sponsor after just two seasons. That’s a significant struggle for several TOUR stops, but Charles Schwab jumped at the opening to attach their name to this event. That’s because Colonial always draws a strong field. And that’s never been more evident than for the daily fantasy golf player this week.
With some of the game’s biggest names in action, including Jordan Spieth, Jon Rahm, and Rickie Fowler, DraftKings players will be tasked with balancing star power and high value as they fill their six-man rosters. The good news? There’s plenty of it to be found at Hogan’s Alley, and that’s where we come in.
Colonial is one of the PGA TOUR’s most storied courses, and it’s largely avoided the recent trend of length for length’s sake. Coming in at “just” 7,200 yards, it’s far from a bomber’s paradise. Rather, precision players who can hit greens and sink putts have a dramatic advantage. Unlike last year, weather is not expected to play a major factor in this week’s outcome, so the forecast for fantasy becomes a little easier, as well.
This week, we’re taking a look at the top five value players you can plug into your DraftKings lineup at Colonial. As usual, these players will cover a fairly wide salary range, and all would fit nicely onto the same roster. We use DraftKings standard rules and rosters, but if you play on another site, simply adjust the dollar values as needed.
With just 24 hours to go until game time, it’s time to fill your rosters and make a little cash (where allowed). Let’s get started.
