If we’ve learned anything over the years, it’s to trust in Tiger at Muirfield Village. Woods has five wins at this event, picking up three in a row from 1999-2001 as well as 2009 and 2012.

"“I’ve always loved this golf course. This golf course is certainly one of the best on the PGA Tour. It’s hard. It’s straightforward,” Woods said in 2009. “They made changes to it, seems like, every year. Jack makes positive changes. He makes it a little bit harder, little bit more difficult. I think that over the years I’ve really enjoyed coming back here and playing.”"

This will be Tiger’s first trip back to Dublin since 2015. His game appears to be rounding into decent form; we just need to see more starts to build Woods’ sample size.

In eight starts in 2018, Woods has made seven of eight cuts. He’s  got a pair of top-fives, including a runner-up, and a T11 in his last start at the PLAYERS.

Woods is 14th in strokes gained approaching the green, seventh around the green and 32nd on the greens. His game’s looked sharp all season save for the driver.

If Tiger can get the ball in play on the par-4s, I like his chances. He’s 28th at 4.00 in par-4 scoring this season.

Tiger’s still looking for his first win since 2013. Muirfield is an apt place for that streak to end.
