Memorial Tournament Power Rankings: Top 10 picks for Muirfield Village
Much like his career as a whole, Leishman has blossomed in recent years at the Memorial. The Aussie failed to post better than T37 in his first six starts.
He’s played his best golf in recent years and results at Muirfield Village are a microcosm. Leishman’s gone T5, T11 and T15 the past three years at a cumulative 28-under par.
Leishman appears to be closing in on his first win of 2018. He’s missed just two cuts and has five top-10s in 12 starts. He finished solo second in his last start a couple weeks ago at the Byron Nelson.
The putter began to heat up for Leishman at the Byron Nelson. He’s 67th on tour in strokes gained putting this season, but he gained nearly nine strokes on the field on the greens in Texas.
If the putter stays hot, watch out. Leishman is 26th in strokes gained approaching the green and 15th around the green. He’s ninth in par-4 scoring.
