Alex Noren defended his BMW PGA Championship quite well last week. The Swede has been a regular on the first page of leaderboards this season, which continued with a T3 at Wentworth.

Noren’s up to three third-place finishes and a runner-up worldwide in 2018 primarily playing on the PGA Tour or at co-sanctioned events. It’s not like he doesn’t know how to win; he’s done it six times in the last three years on the European Tour.

He’s held up well at big events. Noren tied for second at Torrey Pines, was T14 at the WGC-Mexico, advanced to the semifinals at the WGC-Match Play and was T17 at the PLAYERS.

Noren is 27th in strokes gained tee to green and 14th in SG putting. He hits the ball farther than people think and plays his best golf on Sundays (sixth in final round scoring average).
