The FedEx St. Jude Classic is the final tune-up before the U.S. Open, but it’s also so much more. This week’s field still boasts plenty of star power, and TPC Southwind is always game. Who will come out on top this week?

The PGA Tour makes one last stop before the U.S. Open. Many of those who qualified for the year’s second major have already began their trek to Shinnecock.

A few others prefer to come directly off of competitive reps. This week’s field features two of the world top 10 and four of the top 25.

There won’t be many surprises this week as the FedEx St. Jude Classic returns to TPC Southwind for the 30th time.

The par-70 layout measures 7,244 yards. Winning scores generally creep over 10-under.

Undulating greens act as this course’s main defense, putting a priority on proximity and putting.

This event is an afterthought in some ways given its position on the schedule, but it’s produced some notable winners dating back to the 1950s: Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Gary Player, Fred Couples, Nick Price and Greg Norman are a handful of hall of famers who padded their resumes here.

For those not yet qualified for the U.S. Open, a tournament win doesn’t guarantee a spot in the field. Instead, bubble players will try to crack the world top 60 to make it in via Official World Golf Ranking.

Let’s see who has a chance to become the champ in Memphis:
