Grimmer is a solid junior at Ohio State with five top-20s in 11 events, but this is clearly his crowning achievement

  • Grimmer edged out former Big 10 competitor and elite amateur, Dylan Meyer, from the University of Illinois

PGA Tour journeyman Brian Stuard qualified for the U.S. Open for the second year in a row and fourth time overall at the Springfield sectional

David Lutterus had the low round of the qualifier (65) in round one, but will have to get lucky to make it to Shinnecock after a closing 75 dropped him to second alternate.
