PGA Tour journeyman Brian Stuard qualified for the U.S. Open for the second year in a row and fourth time overall at the Springfield sectional

David Lutterus had the low round of the qualifier (65) in round one, but will have to get lucky to make it to Shinnecock after a closing 75 dropped him to second alternate.
