It’s already been a big month for Rickie after proposing to wife-to-be Allison Stokke. After getting down on one knee, maybe the high stakes of a major championship won’t be quite so daunting.

Fowler’s racked up nine top-10s in majors in his 20s, eight of which were in the top five and three second-place finishes.

He comes into the week in good form with four top-25s in his last five starts. He was T8 against a tough field at the Memorial in his last start two weeks ago to go with a T14 at Colonial.

Fowler was also runner-up at the Masters and has made seven straight cuts in majors.

He was T5 last year at Erin Hills and has three top-10s at the U.S. Open.

Statistically, Fowler’s got a well-rounded game that suits most courses. He’s inside the top 80 in the main strokes gained categories including 25th around the green.

He’s typically a good driver and will have as many birdie looks as anyone this week (17th in GIR). Plus, on the par-4s he’s seventh on Tour as one of the rare guys to play them under par (3.95).
