The European Tour schedule picks back up in earnest with the BMW International Open in Germany

As soon as the final putt drops at the U.S. Open, the attention of the golf world begins to shift across the pond.

Three Rolex Series events make for an exciting stretch heading into the Open Championship. First things first, we’ve got the BMW International Open.

It’s left out of the Rolex Series as its a rather new event (1989 was the inaugural event) on a tough part of the schedule.

Nonetheless, some talented players are coming to play the only course in Germany designed by Jack Nicklaus.

Golf Club Gut Larchenhof in Pulheim is a 7,229-yard par-72 parkland style course that has yielded winning scores of 11-under, 19-under and 17-under in its three years hosting in 2012, 2014 and 2016.

The fairways are rather wide, but wayward shots will be punished by the rough. It’s a second shot golf course in the way the Golden Bear would like it.

The greens run on the faster side for a European Tour event. Anyone who played at the U.S. Open may not think much of them.

Temperatures appear to be in the 60s Fahrenheit for much of the tournament with some breeze and little to no rain.

Here are 10 picks to contend this week at the BMW International Open:
