Rickie Fowler will try to make his Quicken Loans sponsors happy with a good showing this week. Based on recent weeks, that seems likely.

Fowler has finished T21 or better in five of his last six starts. He took solo second at the Masters and was T20 at the U.S. Open to post more strong showings in majors.

He also took T8 against a strong field at the Memorial, so a win seems likely sooner rather than later for a guy who has six of them since 2015.

Fowler was in the mix at TPC Potomac last year where he finished T3. He barely made the cut at two-over before shooting a weekend co-best of 133 (68-65) to pull within two shots of a playoff.

Fowler has shown an ability to play well on tough courses.

"“It does have the feel of a little bit more than just a normal tour event as far as what the difficulty level is out there,” Fowler was quoted by the Frederick News Post in 2017."

Finding the fairway looks to be important this week; Fowler is 48th in that category. He is perhaps the most well-rounded player in the field with positive strokes gained numbers across the board.

Fowler is fifth in par-4 scoring, seventh in scrambling and is the third best putter on Bentgrass since 2014 according to Future of Fantasy.
