This week seems like a good one for a grinder like Kevin Na.

The two-time PGA Tour winner is first in strokes gained putting, gaining nearly 2.5 strokes on the field each week he tees it up.

He’ll have bigger clubs in hand on second shots than most in this 120-player field, but he hits plenty of fairways (55th) which is key to avoid the penal rough. From the fairways, he’s sixth in proximity and is one of the best on Tour from inside 175 yards.

Na’s got some high finishes of late, placing T6 at the Byron Nelson and fourth at Colonial.

A concern some may have is Na is coming from across the globe at last week’s Korea Open (where he finished T5) to arrive at TPC Potomac. By the same token, he’s made the cut the week after a big trip like this each of the last few occasions.

Plus, he played well at the 2017 Quicken Loans National, finishing T22. He got off to a woeful 75 before playing the final 54 holes in 6-under (winning score was 7-under, by the way).

Na is 42nd in par-4 scoring and 48th in bounce back percentage.
