The streaky Thorbjorn Olesen is riding a nice wave right now.

The Dane held off home favorite Francesco Molinari to win the Italian Open. A few weeks later, he fired 61 on Sunday to come within one shot of a playoff at the BMW International Open where he tied for second.

He’s now a five-time European Tour winner (six if you count his GolfSixes win with Lucas Bjerregaard, who was the first one left out of this week’s top 10) who’s proven he can go low.

Olesen is 11th in birdies this season, which means he may try to counter his aggressive mistakes with more birdies this week.

If he can find enough fairways and avoid the big round, which plagued him on Saturday last week, then he’s got the firepower to hang with the big boys in France.
