Alex Noren is a prime candidate to win this week thanks to strong form on Tour as well as in recent trips to the Open de France. Noren finished in the top 10 in 2016 and 2017 and T15 in 2015.

He has three third-place finishes and a runner-up in 2018, all of which came at impressive events: T2 at Torrey Pines, third at the Honda, third at the WGC-Match Play and T3 at the BMW PGA.

He comes to Le Golf National making four cuts in a row all resulting in a T25 or better. He comes off of a week away after that T25 at Shinnecock Hills.

The Swede has been impressive in just about every facet of the game this season on the PGA Tour. He is 12th in strokes gained putting, 15th in SG approaching the green and 27th in SG tee to green.

Noren was sick last year and fought for a high finish. Now in better stead, he’s poised to finally get a deserved win in 2018 at a course he knows well.
