In a season filled with storylines, Jon Rahmās impressive season is kind of flying under the radar. The Spaniard has a win at the CareerBuilder Challenge on the PGA Tour and the Open de Espana this spring.
A missed cut at the U.S. Open snapped an eight cuts made streak. Heās finished outside the top 50 just three times all year and also has a solo fourth at Augusta and a recent T5 at Colonial to lean on.
Perhaps most important to mention is his debut at the Open de France last year. Rahm shot four rounds of par or better to lock down a T10 in his first European Tour event on European soil.
This course isnāt ideal for Rahmās preferred bombs away method, but if he sticks to the right game plan, thereās no reason why he canāt find success in Paris.
"āI usually like hitting drivers off the tee, but Iām not going to be able to this week,ā Rahm said before the 2017 event. āBut I like it. I like traditional golf courses where they make you think and hit every club in the bag.ā"
Rahm is second on the PGA Tour in strokes gained off the tee and 21st in SG tee to green. His putter has been pretty good at times this year, too (61st in SG).
