This ought to be one of Webb Simpson’s favorite stops on Tour. He’s got three top-10s at the Greenbrier including solo third in 2014 and also a T14 in 2017.

"“…they set it up in a way, it’s still challenging, but there’s certain holes where you really have to attack and try to make some birdies,” Simpson said in 2014. “I’ve always felt really comfortable on this golf course ever since I came here in 2010.”"

He’s comfortable on most golf courses these days as a matter of fact. He won wire-to-wire in an impressive showing at the PLAYERS and is up to six top-10s after a T10 at the U.S. Open.

Even during his swoon in recent years, Simpson was a good ball striker. That remains the same, but the turnaround with his putter is remarkable.

After struggling early on in the post-anchored putter ban era, Simpson has climbed from 177th in strokes gained putting in 2015-16 to 88th last season and now eighth.

Simpson is also 39th in strokes gained off the tee.

With a week off to prepare, he trends well for another hefty paycheck come Sunday.
