Russell Knox made quite the 2018 European Tour debut last week at the Open de France. Knox, a Scot currently playing primarily on the PGA Tour, finished T2 for his best result worldwide this year.

Knox tied for low round of the day with a Sunday 65 to come one shot shy of a playoff in France. Nonetheless, he earned a spot into the Open Championship for the fourth straight year via the qualifying series.

Knox comes in making six straight cuts including a T12 at the U.S. Open and a pair of top-20s on the Texas swing on the PGA Tour.

Knox is 65th or better on the PGA Tour in strokes gained categories off the tee, approaching the green, around the green and tee to green.

He is very accurate off the tee (22nd) and hits a lot of greens (sixth) which are keys to avoid the tall grass out there at Ballyliffin.

Knox tied for second at the 2016 Irish Open at the K Club.
