Haotong Li is playing solid golf in recent weeks, coming to Ballyliffin off of three straight finishes of T21 or better.

He went T19 at the Rolex Series’ Italian Open, T16 at the U.S. Open and T21 at another Rolex Series event last week, the Open de France.

Li won early this year in Dubai, outdueling Rory McIlroy down the stretch. The Chinese has missed just three cuts worldwide in 2018.

Li is 30th on the European Tour in strokes gained off the tee and 71st in putting.

He has a solid links resume with a solo 18th and T36 to his name at the last two Irish Opens and a solo third at the 2017 Open Championship.

The 22-year-old is seeking his third career European Tour this week, and it would be his best yet if he can get it done at Ballyliffin.
