Matt Fitzpatrick is rounding into form the past couple months. Now the Englishman is waiting for the big week.

The 23-year-old enters off of seven made cuts in a row highlighted by a T8 against a tough field at the BMW PGA. Fitzpatrick had a nice showing of T12 at the U.S. Open and followed it up with a T27 last week.

Fitzpatrick’s made two cuts in three tries at the Irish Open including a T8 in 2015.

He’s 34th on the European Tour in driving accuracy, 34th in strokes gained on approaches and 20th in SG putting.

If the course plays firm and fast this week, a shorter hitter like Fitzpatrick might be a benefactor.
