It’s been feast or famine with Thorbjorn Olesen in recent weeks. The Dane won the Italian Open, missed the cut at the U.S. Open, finished T2 at the BMW International Open and again MC’d last week at the Open de France.

There’s a good chance the pendulum swings in his favor this week. Olesen is a good links player with two titles at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and a T10 at the 2016 Irish Open.

Olesen’s stats read down the middle in most categories as he has the talent to fire on all cylinders or fizzle. One thing he can do is make birdies, which he ranks 14th in the European Tour.

If it’s a birdie fest like last year’s event won with a 24-under total at Londonderry, Olesen has the firepower to keep up. He just shot a 62 on Sunday to nearly steal the BMW International Open.
