Barbasol Championship Power Rankings: Top 10 at Keene Trace
Tyler Duncan keeps on cashing checks. He’s just about cashed in for a spot in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. A good week this week can eliminate any doubt.
The 29-year-old rookie out of Purdue is showing veteran-like consistency in making nine straight cuts.
His best result of the nine was a T12 last week at the John Deere and he also picked up a T5 in his first start last fall at the Safeway.
Duncan is hitting the ball great. He’s 28th in strokes gained approach and 52nd in SG tee to green.
The short game and putting have given him troubles, though in his defense, he’s learning a new course every week. Inexperience tends to show the closer you get to the hole.
Growing up in Indiana, he may not be familiar with Keene Trace but he’ll certainly be familiar with bluegrass and bentgrass and should have some fans in the galleries.
