Rookie Sam Ryder is on a good path to make the Playoffs in his debut season. A T2 last week at the John Deere was his best effort to date.

He also has a solo fifth at the Houston Open and has made six of his last 10 cuts.

Ryder is gaining confidence by the day.

"“I’ve been feeling really good about my game,” Ryder said Sunday at the John Deere. “Coming off a nice final round in Connecticut at Travelers. Just I knew it’s all been there, it’s all been close, and I’ve been playing well.”"

Ryder is 24th in driving accuracy and fifth in greens in regulation. He’s 29th in proximity from the fairway. He should be up near the top of the field in birdie looks this week; it’s just about rolling them in.

Ryder gained five strokes on the field last week with his putter. If he proves that success on the greens wasn’t a fluke, he could be on to something here.
