Barbasol Championship Power Rankings: Top 10 at Keene Trace
Whee Kim is one of few players in the field this week who can say they’ve won an event in 2018.
Sure, his came on the Korean Tour, but it’s better than nothing.
Kim also shot a 62 Thursday at the Greenbrier, but he couldn’t back it up on the way to a T74. He was more consistent last week in tying for 16th at the John Deere Classic, his best result on the PGA Tour in 2018.
Kim also finished solo fourth at the CJ Cup again in his native South Korea and then T2 at the Shriners Hospitals.
Kim is 22nd in strokes gained putting and ninth in sand saves.
He finished T3 at the 2015 Barbasol Championship in Alabama. He’s got enough top-fives on Tour to know what it’s like to contend.
This could be the week he puts it all together for win No. 1.
