The Porsche European Open has been a cash cow the last two years for Alexander Levy. He won this event in 2016 at Bad Griesbach and took second in a playoff last year at Green Eagle.

He’ll need another similar finish, preferably a win, to begin a last gasp at making the Ryder Cup. He got off to a great start to 2018 but has cooled a bit since.

This season, Levy has four top-10s including a win at the Trophee Hassan II.

Levy is 47th in driving distance on the European Tour and 51st in greens in regulation. He’s also had a decent putting year, coming in at 57th in strokes gained.

Last year at the European Open, Levy was solid all-around at 14th in driving accuracy, 10th in driving distance, 37th in greens in regulation and second in putts per round.

Levy is one of the more talented players in the field this week and is coming to the right place to turn his summer around.
