The RBC Canadian Open has a star-studded field, but these players will give you the top value in your DraftKings fantasy golf league this week.

The RBC Canadian Open closes out the month of July at Glen Abbey. For the week after a major – overseas, nonetheless – this week’s field is surprisingly star-studded. And that, of course, will serve to make picking a roster for DraftKings daily fantasy golf that much more interesting.

You look at the names on top of the salary list, and it’s almost impossible to resist. Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka, Bubba Watson. They’re all superstars, and all have enjoyed their fair share of success at the RBC Canadian Open.

Of course, you don’t really need someone like me to point that out to you. Their resumes speak for themselves, and if you’ve got the extra salary space to roster any of these guys, there’s no way it’s a bad decision.

However, if you’re going to field a winning lineup, you might want to give yourself a little more flexibility than those players will offer. That’s where we come in. In a perfect world, the value you’re looking for is somewhere around three-quarters to one point per $100 in DraftKings salary.

Knowing that that’s the benchmark, we’re looking for players who have a good shot to meet or exceed that mark. As with every fantasy game, we’re playing the odds here – who gives us the most bang for the fantasy buck?

This week’s players cover a variety of salary ranges, and we’re going to work from lowest to highest. This isn’t a straight power ranking; in many ways, the lower a player’s salary, the more likely I am to roster him. After all, that gives me even more flexibility if I feel like going for one of those five-digit guys we mentioned.

Glen Abbey does have a habit of turning into a bit of a shootout, so your best bet is to look for players who hit a lot of greens, and are at least slightly above average with the flat stick once they’re dancing. Since 2000, Glen Abbey has hosted this event eight times, with the winner carding an average mark of 16-under-par.

Let’s jump into this week’s value rankings.
