Like Justin Thomas earlier, Brooks Koepka had an impressive string of making the weekend come to a close. After making the journey back from the Open Championship, he couldn’t get it going at the RBC Canadian Open where he missed the cut.

It was Koepka’s first time not playing the weekend since March 2017.

In limited starts due to injury in 2018, Koepka has his U.S. Open win and a solo second at the Fort Worth Invitational. Aside from last week, he’s finished no worse than T42.

Koepka’s made two starts at the WGC-Bridgestone and withdrew in 2016. He finished T6 in his debut in 2015 and was T17 last year.

He’s a combined 8-under in eight rounds at Firestone and shot 71 or lower each time.

Koepka is 20th in strokes gained off the tee and can eviscerate this course if he’s clicking with the driver.

BK is 25th in par-4 scoring, 19th in fairway proximity and 39th in scrambling.

He’s got two U.S. Opens and a PGA Tour win. Now, it’s time for Koepka to add his first WGC to the trophy case.
