Ryan Palmer has had some success at Montreaux between both formats.

Palmer, 41, finished T4 at this event in 2008 and T5 in 2009.

He also posted T9 last year in his first Barracuda Championship start since 2010.

Palmer is coming off of three made cuts in a row. That includes a T8 at the Quicken Loans National and a T22 last week at the Canadian Open.

He was also T2 early in the year at the Farmers Insurance Open in what was the first of six top-30s this season.

Palmer surged for a final round +17 that would’ve been 64 in stroke play. That’s all with just a par on the par-5 18th.

He was also +13 in round one.

"“I enjoy playing this though,” Palmer said last year on Thursday regarding his absence from the event. “The hardest thing about this is getting the yardages. And we worked hard on the yardages the last couple of days, trying to figure out how we were going to do it. And we stuck with it today, and overall our numbers were great. “Our distance control was spot on. So some work paid off from that part of the game, so I do enjoying playing this golf course. Always have. Love the mountains, love the scenery. So it was a great day.”"

Palmer is 24th in driving accuracy, ninth in proximity from the fairway, 17th in birdie average and 33rd in eagles made.
