Abraham Ancer appears to have his card locked up for next season. He was a rookie on the PGA Tour in 2016 but had to go back to the Web.com Tour to climb back up.

With that weight off his shoulders, he can continue his strong recent form.

The Mexican Ancer has two top-fives in his last four starts as part of four top-10s on the season.

Ancer, 27, took solo fifth last week at the RBC Canadian Open where he was in contention before Dustin Johnson did Dustin Johnson things.

He also finished T4 at the Quicken Loans National where he shot 62 on Saturday to make Sunday’s final pairing.

Long story short, he’s gotten himself into the late tee times on Sunday and is gaining those high-pressure reps most need before they’re ready to win.

Ancer is 67th on Tour in strokes gained off the tee. He’s also 60th in total putts and has been solid from short range.

Ancer finished 81st at his Barracuda Championship debut in 2016.
