High finish in his last start? Check. High finish in his last trip to Montreux? Check.

Richy Werenski isn’t a well-known name, but he’s checking the right boxes to earn more popularity.

Werenski is coming off three made cuts in a row, the last being a T2 last week at the Barbasol Championship.

This season on the PGA Tour, the 26-year-old Georgia Tech grad has seven top-30s including a T4 at the St. Jude Classic.

Werenski is an accurate driver (39th) and has a decent short game (82nd strokes gained around the green).

Last year was his Barracuda debut. He proved a quick learner by tying for second and reaching a three-man playoff.

Werenski’s +14 on Sunday was the third-lowest score of the day. He putted well, especially in the first two rounds where he gained over nine shots on the field with the flat stick.
